Our Story

Philadelphia Masonry Restoration and Preservation

Craft Pro Masonry provides Philadelphia masonry restoration services focused on long-term stabilization of row homes and masonry buildings. Masonry concerns start small and appear minor at first. However, after decades of working on Philadelphia buildings, we’ve learned that recurring cracks and wall movement often point to deeper structural patterns. Because of this, Our Philadelphia masonry restoration approach focuses on long-term performance rather than surface repairs.

After 16 years in the industry—from 1995 to 2010—I gained experience as a construction laborer, apprentice, foreman, general manager, and building consultant specializing in Philadelphia masonry structures. During that time, I repeatedly observed the same cracking patterns in 1920 Philadelphia row homes. Although these issues often looked minor, they tended to reappear when only cosmetic repairs were made. As a result, I began refining long-term stabilization methods.

In 2010, I sold my first company and founded Craft Pro Masonry Restoration Company, Inc. From the beginning, our goal has been to bring clarity and honesty to masonry restoration in an unregulated industry. Over the past decade, we have expanded our understanding of how masonry buildings move and age, allowing us to recommend solutions that make sense for the structure—not just the moment.

Craft Pro Masonry works with homeowners, property managers, HOA and condominium associations, and commercial building owners who want accurate evaluations and durable repairs. Often, our projects involve conditions that were initially thought to be minor. Accordingly, our work typically goes beyond basic patching and focuses on stabilizing masonry systems over time.

If you own a Philadelphia row home, industrial warehouse, church, or commercial building, we can help you understand what’s happening—and what options make sense.

What we Have Learned

What we have learned
All masonry buildings crack for the same reasons termed “step Cracking”. Cracks tell a story and the history of a building.  The three important variables are the facade’s direction cornice overhang size, and wall deflection or bulging.  Bowed walls are a common cause of leaks, and re-pointing worsens the problem.   Brick Re-pointing  is often a misdiagnosis, in particular, this is especially true for water infiltration issues
